10 WWE Wrestlers Vince McMahon Loved At First Sight

7. The Boogeyman

The Boogeyman never should have even made it to the main roster after inadvertently causing fellow trainee Santino Marella to p*ss himself laughing and earn a slapping from incensed trainer Jim Cornette. Nothing that stupid designed to scare crowds should have ever made it to television, not least during the irony-free fun-free actual-good-product-free mid-2000s.

But make it he did, and his boss was seemingly thrilled to facilitate it. Boogeyman worked skits with Donald Trump, provided comedy outs for going-nowhere angles and even snagged a Legends deal after a crowd-pleasing 2015 Royal Rumble appearance.

What's nice about Vince McMahon's adoration of this absurd monster is that it earns the seemingly ageless Martin Wright ocasional paydays as long as he's prepared to eat a few works and cackle demonically in front of the nearest camera. As recently as 2019's Raw Reunion Wright was back at it, lining up alongside luminaries such as Triple H, Shawn Michaels and The Outsiders clapping along to Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and Steve Austin as if he was making towns, drawing houses and having broadways throughout the 80s and 90s.

Not that any of that would have enticed McMahon - the f*cker eats worms, pal!
