10 WWE Wrestlers Who Came From Other Sports
2. Ken Shamrock - Mixed Martial Arts
It's hard to imagine any top-tier UFC fighter giving up a career in the Octagon for the chance to make-believe in WWE these days, but twenty years ago it was a different story. In 1997, Dana White's plans for world domination had yet to take shape, and that meant professional wrestling represented a viable career switch for one-time Superfight winner Ken Shamrock.
Billed by WWE as the 'World's Most Dangerous Man', Shamrock came into the business with 30 MMA fights (and 23 wins) to his name. His record suffered somewhat after returning to the sport following his his stint in wrestling, but that was less a reflection of ability than it was the punishment he absorbed flying round the ring for several years. Shamrock, at his peak, was legit.
