10 WWE Wrestlers Who Desperately Need To Be Repackaged In 2021

Despite WWE’s attempts to turn The Ravishing Russian into a sympathetic babyface, Lana has benefited very little from her weeks of being put through the announce table and accidentally picking up victories. In fact, Lana’s booking hasn’t benefited any of the wrestlers involved in the storyline. There is plenty of work to do if the goal is to turn Lana into a major babyface.

Lana needs to improve on the mic and in the ring, so it makes little sense for her to be in a story with Asuka, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, all of whom held major titles on the main roster or NXT. Lana should be kept away from the title picture and be working with veterans, like Mickie James or Naomi. Alternatively, Lana could be winning handily over jobbers, like Peyton Royce. When it comes to James, Naomi, and Royce, none of them would be hurt by losing to Lana; James and Naomi’s reputations are too well established and WWE haven’t booked Royce as anything other than a jobber thus far.

Elevating Lana up the card before she’s ready is not only damaging to her development, it hurts the women’s division, as well as the television product. WWE should wrap up this tag team title program quickly, and turn their attention to developing Lana properly, through meaningful feuds and engaging storylines against established heels. Her current storyline is doing little more than raising the question ‘how much money is WWE spending each week on tables?’.
