10 WWE Wrestlers Who Enjoyed Smoking Weed

8. MVP

For his entire WWE tenure, it always seemed as if MVP was never used to his full potential. During his time there, he reigned as a Tag Team champion and United States champion on two occasions, but never broke the glass ceiling into the main event scene. After being marginalized for several years, he departed the company in late 2010 before making waves in New Japan Pro Wrestling. He finally returned to the wrestling circuit in the United States in early 2014 not for WWE, but rather TNA. Along with Bobby Lashley and Kenny King, he's been a top-tier talent in the organization for the last year. Could his history with weed have anything to do with him not being featured as prominently while with WWE? During a 2009 interview on "The Opie and Anthony Show," MVP admitted to being a frequent marijuana user; although he mentioned "cutting back" due to WWE's strict policies and fines, he never gave up the habit entirely. The former U.S. champ went so far as to say he was disappointed the company didn't make a trip to Afghanistan that year since "a lot of pot is grown there." While he was never "buried" in WWE, he unfortunately never came close to winning a world championship despite how talented he was in the ring and on the mic. TNA is more lenient with their talents getting away with smoking pot among other things, so it shouldn't be surprising he hasn't suffered any setbacks since he joined the organization and is in the main event picture where he belongs.
