Predicting Jason Jordan's future is no easy task - 12 months ago he had no idea he was the son of an Olympic Gold Medallist, for example - but we're going to stick our neck on the line and say that he will probably never have a better year.

This isn't guaranteed, of course - not least of all because of the 29-year-old's undoubted chops in the ring. Even in trying circumstances this year, Jordan has been able to put on one or two matches that show he does - if booked correctly - have plenty of promise.

But rubbing shoulders with Kurt Angle, Triple H, Roman Reigns - that's huge. It's the kind of experience that only a select few wrestlers ever have, and nearly all of them have had to work their proverbial asses off for the privilege.

The fact that Jordan got it so soon, off the back of a generally poorly-received storyline, which - to the untrained eye - hasn't gone the way WWE originally planned, doesn't really bode well for his long-term main event prospects.
