10 WWE Wrestlers Who Reinvented Themselves In TNA
6. Elijah Burke - D'Angelo Dinero
Having floundered under various gimmicks in WWE - including Sylvester Terkay's corner man and leader of ECW's New Breed - Elijah Burke underwent a persona revamp when he resurfaced in TNA as D'Angelo Dinero.
Going under the nickname 'The Pope', the WWE cast-off made his debut at Hard Justice 2009 in a Steel Asylum match, quickly entering into a feud with Suicide. The fact that Dinero was getting notable TV time was already a stark improvement. His stock continued to rise from there.
'The Pope' eventually earned a shot at AJ Styles' TNA World Heavyweight Championship. The two would square off live on PPV at Lockdown 2010, with Styles emerging victorious.
Despite being a noteworthy part of TNA programming from the time he got there, Dinero left the company at the start of 2013. After another spell in OVW (once again as Elijah Burke), 'The Pope' returned to TNA in 2015 as a colour commentator, wrestling sporadically for the promotion in between announcing duties.
