10 WWE Wrestlers Who Survived HORRIBLE Debuts
8. The Miz
Given that his background was in reality TV (having appeared on MTV's The Real World prior to becoming a wrestler), you can see why The Miz was asked to host the Diva Search as his first big main roster gig in WWE.
After first entering the system as a contestant on the 2004 series of Tough Enough, Miz re-emerged in July 2006. As the 'host' of SmackDown (whatever that meant), part of his responsibilities included letting audiences know how they could vote in the all-female talent competition.
This led to an infamous segment on Raw: Miz forgot what he was supposed to say and was eaten alive by the audience for checking notes on his wrist. If you somehow haven't seen this, do yourself a favour and seek it out.
Even after the Diva Search wrapped up, it wasn't clear that Miz would be employed for much longer. It was only when he formed a tag-team with John Morrison that his career really started to pick up and he began his journey to becoming the company stalwart he is today.
