10 WWE Wrestlers Who The Fans Truly Hated
6. Vickie Guerrero
When one of your top stars passes away unexpectedly, how can you as a company do right by his grieving young family? If your first thought is to turn his widow into a shrill, hated heel, then you might just be WWE chairman Vincent K. McMahon.
The choice to bring Vickie Guerrero onto our screens as a manipulative, half crazed authority figure was a bold one. Vickie had no real experience, and presumably no ambition to become a loathed public figure.
She took to it like a duck to water, though. Few people could get as much heat out of two words - “excuse me!” - as Vickie. All she had to do was appear and scowl at the crowd and they would rain their loathing down upon her with nary a thought to her recently departed husband.
She beautifully rode the line between kayfabe heat and the real deal. She was undeniably very, very annoying, and yet hilarious with it. Being a nuisance came naturally to her - she was nuclear from the off. Few heel authority figures have done it as well since.
