10 WWE Wrestlers Who Tried To Kill Roman Reigns

3. Mike Kanellis

How else was he going to get out of his current situation?

Poor Mike Kanellis is either on the wrong end of a spousal abuse storyline or currently being cuckolded, depending on how seriously anybody is expected to take the sudden rage of his pregnant wife Maria since Paul Heyman took control of the pencil on Monday Night Raw. Maria's hit the roof with her fella at least once a week since revealing that she's again with child, despite not yet confirming her husband as the baby's Father.

Things escalated beyond his control completely on Monday's Raw when he was forced to sacrifice his newly-won 24/7 Championship to her - a situation she worked to her advantage later in the show by reminding all the usual chasing pack that attacking her to win it back was entirely off limits.

Yet, this belt - this magical, velcro belt - has done strange things to folk. Drake Maverick's life and marriage remains in tatters, R-Truth's pinned folk at 50,000 feet for 8,000,000 YouTube fans and Mick Foley's even opened himself up to an attack from Bray Wyatt's Fiend in an effort to add it to his legacy.

This isn't to imply that Mike Kanellis attempted to push a metal structure on his pregnant wife but again shot his load early and took out the wrong target but - like WWE's own use of "vagina" to tacitly undermine women despite still promoting a "revolution" - it's exactly that.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
