2. Bray Wyatt

Oh boy, where to begin? 2017 should have been the greatest year of Bray Wyatt’s career. A first WWE Championship came in February, and it seemed as though Bray was about to make good on all of his threats over the years. Then Randy Orton burnt down his house, and everything went to the dogs for the Eater of Worlds.

Wyatt’s feud with Orton soon took a turn for the ridiculous, with maggots and worms on the ring and an absolutely lamentable House of Horrors match. A totally forgettable beef with Seth Rollins followed, before Bray managed to top the Orton nonsense with Finn Bálor. It should have been a battle of the supernatural, but it quickly became a complete and utter farce.

Bray Wyatt ends 2017 in a feud with ‘Woken’ Matt Hardy, but more and more fans have given up on the New Face of Fear. The voices clamouring for him to be repackaged grow louder all the time, and Bray now finds himself further from the WWE Championship than at any point in his main roster career - despite winning it just ten months ago.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
