7. Bobby Lashley

Whether you enjoyed his work or not, Bobby Lashley was successful in WWE - for a short while.

The green powerhouse was pushed over his head soon after joining the main roster. A former United States and ECW Champion, he was constantly thrust into prominent roles, and even represented Donald Trump during his 'Battle Of The Billionaires' with Vince McMahon. Sadly, Bobby's limitations were badly exposed during this period, and few tears were shed when he departed the company in February 2008.

It took several years to get there, but Lashley eventually became the performer WWE so dearly wanted him to be. Always a tremendous athlete, he developed into a truly three-dimensional bruiser in TNA, building a bone-crushing offensive arsenal and a solid grasp of monster psychology. Once one of mainstream wrestling's biggest blights, he has now become a true spectacle performer - and a four-time Impact Wrestling Champion.

Leaving WWE has also allowed Lashley to dabble in mixed martial arts. He has amassed a credible 15-2 record in the sport, albeit against favourable opposition, bringing further legitimacy to his pro-wrestling work by painting him as a real-life badass.
