10 WWE Wrestlers Who Were Nothing After A Great Entrance

5. Shinsuke Nakamura

Right.

Shinsuke Nakamura will one day be celebrated as one of the most important and greatest wrestlers in New Japan Pro Wrestling history. He will also be warmly remembered as the man that arrived in NXT as if from another planet back in April 2016, armed to the t*ts with his particularly unique juxtaposition of charisma and threat.

He is not the wrestler this entry refers to.

This list specifically speaks only of the Shinsuke Nakamura that has picked the right time in his life to make major money for inflicting less pain on his body and give his family a blessed existence somewhere on a Florida coastline. That guy - the happiest motherf*cker in thr world when he's catching waves in the ocean rather than catching an opponent with a kick at the 30 minute mark - has worked hard before working smart, but there's not been one WWE main roster singles match that's ever been as good as the babyface entrance that used to precede it.

A 2018 heel turn resulted in an adjustment to his theme that tweaked with the magic of the original, but the prospect of him ever switching back just to return to the tune of old gives hope that there may yet be some life left a possible topline push in the beloved 'King Of Strong Style'.
