10 WWE Wrestlers Who Were Nothing After A Great Entrance
2. Sin Cara
An entrance so elaborate that the original man behind the mask blew it on his debut, Sin Cara's carefully constructed in-ring intro is the only thing most fans from the time are likely to recall about the character - assuming they've blocked all the unfortunate botches out first.
For those that might have missed his 2011 airing, Sin Cara was WWE's original attempt at replacing Rey Mysterio as the company's resident masked superhero high flyer. To do that, they went big by signing CMLL megastar Mistico to a multi-year deal and rocket-strapping him with a post-WrestleMania push. In hindsight, an actual working jetpack might have been a kinder prop.
Cara misjudged his jump over the ropes on his first night, and developed a reputation for slip-ups more than any of the incredible feats he was pulling off on purpose. As the character's stock diminished at a rapid rate, all that really remained was at his perfected pyro-and-ballyhoo arrival.
