10 WWE Wrestlers Whose Second Run Eclipsed Their First
7. Christian
Like fellow Attitude Era luminary Jeff Hardy, Christian's two WWE runs are best classified as the one in which he was a star of the tag team division, and the one in which he finally became a star in his own right.
This is not to say that there was anything wrong with his first stint on Vince McMahon's payroll between 1998 and 2005, a period during which he formed one of the very best two-pieces the company has ever seen alongside real-life bud Edge.
This one, however, saw him repeatedly locked out of the main event by more experienced - or more marketable - colleagues. The closest he came to tasting World Title gold during round one was when he briefly tussled with John Cena, a bout he was never really likely to win.
In round two, he righted all of those wrongs, winning the Big Gold Belt against Randy Orton at Extreme Rules 2011 (albeit losing it back a mere 48 hours later) and going onto what was a fairly decent run at the top of the card for someone in his late 30s.
