10 Youngest Wrestlers To Ever Compete At WWE SummerSlam
1. Rene Dupree
19 years, 8 months, and 9 days. That's how old Rene Dupree was when he and partner, Sylvian Grenier, defended the World Tag Team Championships against The Dudley Boyz at SummerSlam 2003. Yes, not only was Dupree a teenager when he made his first SummerSlam appearance, he was a teenage champion.
The faux Frenchman had been wrestling since he was 14-years-old and became the youngest person to ever sign with WWE when they picked him up in 2002 at the age of eighteen. He mixed it up with the likes of Charlie Haas, Matt Morgan, and John Cena before getting called up to the main roster in April 2003. Two months later, he and Grenier unseated Kane and Rob Van Dam to win the World Tag Team Championships.
Dupree was the first wrestler to win a championship in his teens in WWE and the most annoying part is, he deserved it. La Resistance were a great act and Dupree was a really solid wrestler considering his age. To achieve so much at such a young age is a truly remarkable feat and one that Dupree can be proud of for the rest of his days.
