100 Greatest WWE Royal Rumble Moments Ever

44. Da Man Meets The Deadman (2017)

Two-and-a-half years before their awful Super ShowDown match, the 2017 Royal Rumble saw Goldberg and The Undertaker share a ring for the first time ever.

The one-time poster boy of WCW meets the conscience of the WWF, the white-hot monster rookie of the Monday Night Wars faces Titan’s veteran locker room leader of that time, and Da Man finally gets to test himself against the Deadman.

It didn’t last long - plus included the eliminations of Rusev, Baron Corbin, and Luke Harper - but hearing the famed gong and getting the visual of Goldberg and ‘Taker standing opposite one another was one hell of a kick for fans of the ratings war between WCW and WWF.

In terms of physicality between these two WWE Hall of Famers, Goldberg would hit his patented Spear but would be distracted by that Harper elimination, opening himself up to be dumped over the top by The Undertaker.
