11 Awesome WWE Title Moments That Became FORGOTTEN

8. X-Pac’s Capital Carnage

Capital Carnage was a UK exclusive PPV in December 1998 only notable for Jacqueline's breasts being exposed and for JR’s unfortunate Bell’s Palsy attack on-air. Quite how the iconic announcer managed to gut it out whilst literally holding one side of his face up with his own hands is anyone's guess.

Remember that if you ever check the event out with the benefit of hindsight.

New WWF Champ (and darling of The Corporation) The Rock defended his belt vs. X-Pac in a spirited effort in the night's co-main event slot. There was some really slick action here, and it's pretty obvious that Sean Waltman had something to prove after leaving WCW then settling into the fed's upper midcard as part of D-Generation X.

Rocky had been threatening to bubble over as a top babyface before joining forces with the McMahons, but he was at his swaggering heel best as he did everything in his power to sell people on thoughts of an unlikely title switch on English soil. He'd be one of the most popular faces around the next time WWF hit the UK on PPV and he was on the lineup.

People started smelling was The Rock was cooking pretty soon into 1999.

X-Pac channelled the spirit of his work opposite Bret Hart as The 1-2-3 Kid in '94 for this one. He was at his underdog best, and it's actually kinda funny to see how over moves like the Bronco Buster were during the 'Attitude' days. Crotch first moves = money, apparently.
