8. The New Day Can't Be Touched

Simply put, there isn’t a tag team in WWE touching The New Day at this point. Not in the ring, not on the microphone, not between segment breaks. They took a gimmick designed to fail, and became the best non-main event entity in WWE.

Furthermore, they are so self-aware. From the save the tables crusade, to mentioning Barack Obama in Texas where boos were sure to be heard. In theory, The Dudley Boys are here to help get The New Day get to another level, but these teams in 2015 are not equal if you strip away the nostalgia factor.

With the DQ finish going down, it extends the program between the two squads, which is wonderful. We all get to watch Big E call Bubba Ray "OLD MAN” which is an instant fighting word anywhere in the free world. One more thing that can be said about this match and that is it was stiff.

From the apron splash that rung Bubba’s bell, to the various exchanges between D-Von and Kofi, they were certainly working a little old school and snug.

While WWE may have thought it was too early to beat The Dudleys, giving them a dirty loss here could have gone further in putting heat on the The New Day. Now excuse me while I re-watch Woods play his horn...
