11 Fantasy WWE Tag Matches We'd Love To Have Seen

8. The Hardy Boyz Vs The Natural Disasters

Participants: Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy Vs Earthquake and Typhoon. The Hardy Boyz (or "Team Extreme" as they were collectively known with Lita on side) were two of the most innovative high-fliers in wrestling history. Having been fans of the industry since an extremely young age, Matt and Jeff rocketed to star status extremely quickly. The brothers had filmed themselves performing at their own home since childhood and had been perfoming on the independent circuit for a mere five years (while also acting as jobbers in the World Wrestling Federation when they were just teenagers). Matt was 24 and Jeff was only 21 when they got proper WWF contracts and they would go on to be one of the most successful tag teams ever, winning six World Tag Team Championships and one WCW World Tag Team Championship. They both also went on to hold world titles. They feuded with the likes of Edge and Christian and the Dudley Boyz. The Natural Disasters - Earthquake and Typhoon - were hardly a great team when it came to accolades (they won a single tag title against Money Inc. at a house show before losing it to the same team just three months later), but it is their completely contrasting style that would make a match with the Hardy Boyz so interesting. While the Hardy Boyz epitomisted high-octane action, the Natural Disasters were - quite frankly - fat guys who relied solely on the impact that their weight would grant them for their victories. The opposing styles would make this an interesting spectacle, but only one team truly has a chance of coming out on top. Winners: The Hardy Boyz. Matt and Jeff were far more successful as a tag team and far more successful as single wrestlers. They're just outright better. It might take them a while to put the duo of Earthquake and Typhoon down, but Earthquake and Typhoon would struggle to lay a hand on the Hardy Boyz and the high-fliers would wear them down eventually.
