11 Female Wrestlers Who Were In WWE At The Wrong Time

1. Chyna

Chyna spent most of her career competing with the men in the WWE such as Chris Jericho and Jeff Jarrett, among others. However, the "Ninth Wonder Of The World" found herself wrestling as part of the women's division by the end of her career. She won the Women's Championship at WrestleMania 17 against Ivory, and successfully defended against Lita before departing WWE.

At the time, Chyna was booked to dominate every single one of her female opponents, simply because there weren't many that could handle her size, power, and in-ring abilities. Lita was the only one that truly gave her a challenge during their one-on-one encounter. Her run with the Women's title was a short one and it is a shame that she did not continue on with the company due to backstage problems with management and other personal issues.

Despite all of this, Chyna will forever be remembered as the woman who opened doors for many. She didn't fit the description of what a female contractor of WWE should look like, and that's what made her special. She even encouraged Victoria to try out for WWE and has been labeled an inspiration by women such as Beth Phoenix.

Chyna sadly passed away in 2016, but her legacy will live on forever.

Evan has been a wrestling fan since the age of seven, a time when children should not have been watching wrestling. That's right...the attitude era!! He loves talking about wrestling, writing about wrestling, and fantasizing about working for a wrestling company one day. Aside from that, he loves all things pop culture: movies, music, and TV. He also loves to read, travel (even though he doesn't do much of it), and explore new things about this crazy ass world.
