11 Huge AEW Full Gear 2021 Predictions You Need To Know

5. Women's World Title: Britt Baker (c) vs. Tay Conti

Tay Conti Britt Baker
AEW

Britt Baker is winning this.

It's the most predictable match of the night, given that AEW is reportedly lining up round two with Thunder Rosa for early 2022. The promotion has done an admirable job of heating Conti up and presenting her as the most dangerous challenger Baker has faced as champion yet, though the story is somewhat undermined by this seemingly inevitable outcome.

Tay is one of the most improved wrestlers on the roster. She boasts eye-catching, snapping offense and is putting things together as far as the space between moves goes as well. While she still has plenty of room to grow, it's nice to see her earnest efforts being rewarded with a spotlight like this. Still, while she should hold the gold at some stage in her career, this isn't it.

Britt's title defences have been hit and miss so far, with the Kris Statlander match the obvious high point. Let's see how she meshes with Conti, who typically over-delivers relative to her experience level.

Winner: Britt Baker
