11 HUGE NJPW/ROH G1 Supercard Predictions You Need To Know

6. Taiji Ishimori (c) Vs. Dragon Lee Vs. Bandido (IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title)

Taiji Ishimori Bandido Dragon Lee
NJPW

This bout came together on NJPW's 47th Anniversary show. IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Taiji Ishimori overcame an age-defying performance from Jushin Thunder Liger that night, and immediately grabbed the microphone to call out any Ring Of Honor wrestler for Madison Square Garden. He didn't get an ROH guy, but the CMLL-contracted Dragon Lee, and the bout was seemingly set.

Up-and-comer Bandido was added to the scrap a few weeks later, and now, we're getting a hyper-athletic contest between three of the world's foremost high-flyers. There's no way this won't rule.

Get ready for nonstop, breathtaking action. Ishimori has soared since jumping to NJPW from Pro Wrestling NOAH, Lee is still a prodigy at 23 years old, and Bandido looks set to become a major, major star over the next few years, with last year's star-making ALL IN performance shooting him to global prominence. They'll engage in a pure, unadulterated spotfest in MSG. Jim Cornette types will hate it, but it'll be a must-see affair for literally everyone else, even though the victor looks relatively easy to telegraph.

Winner: Taiji Ishimori.
