11 Most Random Money In The Bank Ladder Match Participants In WWE History
7. Justin Gabriel
In a similar vein to Alex Riley, Justin Gabriel was a hot rising talent during WWE’s roster revamp in the Raw and Smackdown SuperShow era. After playing a major part in the glory and demise of The Nexus stable, the South African high-flyer had all the tools to go far in WWE. However just like many talents of this time, he had very little charisma and personality to back up his elite skills in the ring. This limited any potential the future PJ Black had to break out in WWE.
Once The Nexus and The Corre factions ended, Gabriel emerged as a face against his more villainous Tag Team Title winning partner Heath Slater. This made him one of the more popular entrants in the World Heavyweight Championship briefcase match, at the all-time great Money In The Bank 2011 pay-per-view.
Gabriel worked admirably in this match, going close to winning at one point, bringing his exciting style of bouncy offence to an environment which was perfect for his type of performer. Unfortunately, WWE were never going to strap a rocket to his back here. This was as prominently featured as Gabriel would ever be during his seven-year run with the company, which is a shame for the cruiserweight, as he had much left in the tank.
