3. A.J. Styles

Selected Career Accomplishments: 2 Time World Heavyweight Champion, 2 Time Legends/Television Champion, 2 Time Tag Team Champion & 6 Time X-Division Champion (TNA); 1 Time Pure Wrestling Champion & 1 Time Tag Team Champion (ROH) Whenever someone thinks of TNA, the first wrestler that pops into their head is likely to be A.J. Styles. The Phenomenal One wrestled there for 12 years, from 2002 until 2014, and accomplished everything there was to accomplish there. He was the first ever TNA Triple Crown Champion and also their first ever Grand Slam Champion. Fans were shocked in December 2014 when it became known that contract negotiations between TNA and Styles had broken down and then the unthinkable happened: he left the company. TNA and A.J. Styles always went hand in hand, so it was hard for people to comprehend (even though he was one of a few high profile departures in 2014 for TNA). According to Styles, he was offered $200,000 per year to stay, which was considerably less than he made in 2013 (a reported $350,000), a strange way indeed for TNA to treat it's talisman. Styles landed on his feet though, naturally, by first returning to ROH (where he had also wrestled on and off from 2002 to 2006) and then by signing with New Japan Pro Wrestling. Styles took part in a featured contest at the recent Wrestle Kingdom 9, the first ever NJPW Pay Per View to be made available to a world audience with English commentary provided by good ol' Jim Ross and Matt Striker. It seems Styles is doing pretty well for himself, even without TNA.
