7. Owen's Wedding
Discussion about Dynamite Kid prompts Nattie to tell a story that she says exemplifies the craziness of the Hart family. Owen's wedding was supposed to be a big elegant family affair, held at Stu and Helen's house. Nattie says that Helen was stuffy and snobby despite the fact that she lived in a house full of wrestlers. She describes her trying to read Vogue magazine while Stu is making breakfast for Andre The Giant with the same spatula he used to scoop up cat sh*t. She says that the mother-in-laws got in a fight regarding the wedding menu; one wanted to serve creme brulee while the other wanted fruit jello from the local market, At this point of the story Tyson takes over, and describes how there was a heel van and a babyface van for the Stampede wrestlers to travel in, and one of the vans had a broken windshield and the wrestlers were driving down the highway with no windshield, bugs flying in and hitting them. Bruce Hart laughed at the boys who had to ride in the van with the broken windshield - which included the Bulldogs - and eventually word got back to Davey Boy and Dynamite. Dynamite Kid chased Bruce around a car, and when he got to him he broke his jaw. This was the day before Owen's wedding, and Bruce was set to be the best man. This turned into a family feud and the wedding almost fell apart completely. Davey initially refused to go, which prompted Nattie's mom to refuse to go also, although they eventually all went. The day was a disaster with constant side-taking and in-fighting and all Owen wanted was to marry his high school sweetheart.
