10. That He Left WWE In 2005 Because He Wouldn't Put Shawn Michaels Over

The story goes that it was supposed to be the first in a series of matches together: Hogan was supposed to win the first one and Michaels would get his win back the next month or later in the year. But then Hogan refused to put Michaels over. Whether that's true or not, it was the only match they had and Hogan ended up leaving the company soon after. Though his heel turn didn't last, Michaels ended up going in hard and ripping on Hogan repeatedly and making a mockery of him. Hogan ended up winning the match clean while Michaels spent most of it doing some ridiculous overselling bumps. When Hogan hit the big boot to the face, Michaels didn't fall down like everybody. He fell down after mockingly going around in a circle. It was pretty silly on Michaels part, and in the wake of it, it was understandable that Hogan wouldn't put him over too.
