11 Things You Might Have Missed From WWE Fastlane 2016

5. WCW On PPV

AJ Styles may be the best wrestler in the world today, but WWE can't show much of his body of work - he's spent the past 15 years working for New Japan Pro Wrestling, Ring of Honor, and TNA. WWE hasn't bought any of those companies out (yet), so Styles's best work is off limits. Still, "The Phenomenal One" first cut his teeth in WCW during the company's dying days, and WWE very much owns that footage. They made the most of it, showing clips of Styles when he actually was a rookie and working in the company's heavily-emphasized cruiserweight division. Back then, AJ Styles teamed with fellow NWA: Wildside alumnus Air Paris as Air Raid, and the pair contended for the brand-new Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship, taking on tag teams like Elix Skipper and Kid Romeo in exciting matches.
