11 Ups & 0 Downs From AEW Dynamite (May 31 - Review)

3. Jungle Hook Ride Again

Hook Jungle Boy
AEW

"Hook versus a lower card act again" was set to be listed as a "Down" before a surprising reunion for a team that were split apart rather abruptly earlier this year.

Jack Perry arrived, chair in hand, to deal with LFI's Dralistico, Preston Vance and José The Assistant after the three had interrupted the FTW Champion's television time to steal some of their own. It was basic stuff but - like everything else on the card - the San Diego crowd came unglued for it and the segment created a thirst for an obvious tag payoff.

It wasn't without its own table-setting tease either. Perry didn't let go of that chair, and after a bruising few months of him failing to give in to his nastier side, the prevailing feeling was that he'd eventually wrap it around his partner's back. Hook will never see it coming, even if we're being instructed to.
