11 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (7 Sept)

6. Welcome Back To Wardlow's World

Wardlow Tony Nese
AEW

What an effective way for AEW and Wardlow to remind fans of who the TNT Champion really is.

An emphatic squash victory over an overmatched Tony Nese saw Wardlow pin his goober opponent with a boot on his chest, conducting the crowd through a three-powerbomb Symphony. Afterwards, 'Smart' Mark Sterling almost ate dirt before Josh Woods pulled him out of the ring, saving the manager from his own Wardlowing.

A p*ssed off Wardlow then grabbed the microphone, saying he'd read nonsense online about how he'd lost steam, how he'd lost momentum, and wasn't hot anymore. Now, he spat, it's time to remind the people who've been with him from day one that this is Wardlow's World.

Buffalo was hugely into Wardlow, who exuded Goldberg energy here.
