11 Ups & 1 Down From Last Night's WWE NXT (Oct 30)

Downs...

1. Bate And Switch

An okay match between Tyler Bate and Cameron Grimes represented the only sag in an otherwise electric two hours of action, with the pair going 13 minutes when three would have done.

In truth, NXT perhaps should have shown more guts with the Grimes character here - his squash victories with the Cave In have thus far only come at the expense of goobers. With little going on otherwise, Bate could have been a credible addition to his collection of victims, though an angle that followed (more on that later) somewhat justified the extended run-time here.

This show was so good that there's even an Up buried within this Down - Grimes was yet again a beneficiary of Killian Dain's rage. This feels no accident.
