11 Ups & 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Dec 4)

5. Good, Solid Booking

The Usos The Bar The New Day

SmackDown's three best tag teams - The Bar, Usos, and New Day - will contest the gold in a Triple Threat at TLC 2018, and while there's an arguement to be made that WWE would've been better served introducing a team like Sanity to the mix (though your writer can do without their grubby gimmick), this match works on a number of different levels.

These duos always work well together, and, if given time, they'll deliver something memorable on pay-per-view. Turning it into a three-way Ladder Match would take it to the next level, too. Booking-wise, WWE could potentially have The New Day or Usos take the straps without having The Bar eat a pinfall, leading to the blue brand's next big two-on-two programme.

Would it be nice to see some new blood thrown into the title mix? Absolutely, but it's impossible for us to complain about these high-calibre tag teams and their extended stay in the spotlight.
