With any big match up, John Cena always has to be considered a potential candidate. He's the franchise star of the WWE and has spent the last six months milling around the mid card. It has been nearly a year since he was the WWE Champion. The Money In The Bank briefcase could be his road back to the title, a way to get him in the franchise position for SummerSlam. Or, he could even hold the briefcase longer, with the idea that he's a constant threat to the main event title scene. A Cena briefcase run would be even bigger, with the knowledge that his next WWE title run will equal Ric Flair's record 16 world title haul. WWE could play that up and make it a big part of Cena's briefcase narrative. But ultimately, as long as he's US Champ, it is unlikely WWE would go down this direction.
