October's King of Pro-Wrestling saw the dastardly Chris Jericho return to New Japan - and with his eyes set on a new opponent. The reigning Intercontinental Champion attacked EVIL after disguising himself as a druid during the Los Ingobernables' member's entrance. As a result, Saturday saw EVIL get his shot at redemption and the Intercontinental belt.

Only moments into the match, Chris Jericho attempted to retreat as EVIL had quickly blasted the champion in the opening seconds. EVIL followed Jericho however, continuing his onslaught among the Osaka crowd before dragging him back to ringside. A suplex on the floor followed before Jericho fought out of a powerbomb. The self-professed “Best in the World” then retaliated by spiking EVIL’s head into an announcer’s table with a DDT. Eventually, the two found themselves on the ring apron before EVIL slammed Jericho through a table on the floor.

Back inside the ring, EVIL attempted a Darkness Falls but it was countered into a hurricanrana by Jericho who rolled through into the Walls of Jericho. EVIL tried to reach the ropes but it was cinched in too deep and he was forced to submit. Despite winning the match, Jericho still wasn't done with EVIL.
