12 Biggest Stories From New Japan's Power Struggle And What They Mean Going Forward
7. Kazuchika Okada Relentlessly Pursues Jay White
Since revealing his alignment with the Bullet Club OGs, Jay White has been relentlessly targeting Kazuchika Okada. The Switchblade - along with Gedo and The Club - previously left the Rainmaker lying at King of Pro-Wrestling and were sent packing when Hiroshi Tanahashi made the save as they attempted to do the same during the Road to Power Struggle.
On Saturday, Okada wasted no time in his quest for vengeance as he immediately chased Jay White from the ring before launching over the top rope onto him. The two brawled at ringside for the entire match - including a vicious DDT on the floor - leaving Beretta to contend with Bad Luck Fale. The three-hundred-plus pound Tongan attempted to plant the Chaos member with a crucifix bomb, but Beretta countered into a rollup to score the upset win.
The victory was quickly overshadowed, however, as the BCOGs immediately began to beat down the Chaos team. As White and Okada were separated, the Switchblade challenged for a match “anywhere, anytime.” The Rainmaker quickly accepted, wanting a match immediately, but White brushed it off and left the arena. New Japan announced during a press conference on Monday that they will officially meet at Wrestle Kingdom 13.
