Dean Ambrose has not had much success when it comes to winning feuds.

He lost feuds with Seth Rollins over the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. He lost a feud with Bray Wyatt. He lost a world title match against Roman Reigns when the title was vacant, and lost a triple threat title match at Fastlane. He was the last man eliminated in the Royal Rumble this year. And of course, he lost to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.

That’s not to say that Ambrose is in danger of being a glorified jobber by any stretch. But when you’re regarded as the #2 babyface on the roster, constantly losing feuds and big matches doesn’t help your standing. Eventually, you have to start winning feuds and big matches, or fans are going to tire. No one wants to root for a loser.

With Chris Jericho, Ambrose has someone who he should (theoretically) be able to defeat and get a little momentum, right?
