12 Great Wrestling Matches You'll Never Watch Again (And Why)

1. Flash Funk vs. Leif Cassidy (WWF In Your House 12)

Al Snow's time as Leif Cassidy is not fondly remembered. In addition, 2 Cold Scorpio is the character most fans recall Charles Scraggs portraying, not Flash Funk. The phony pimp was toned down for the 'New Generation' Era of the WWF in the mid-90's. The In Your House events were not majorly profitable by December, 1996 for the company, so they weren't treated with much importance. That's probably why Flash Funk vs. Leif Cassidy was tasked with opening In Your House 12: It's Time on December 15th, 1996. Just over 5,000 fans crammed into the modest West Palm Beach Auditorium in Florida, but they were treated to one hell of an opener. Cassidy and Funk put on an awesome match, one that came out of nowhere and would end up being bout of the night. That said, it's implausible to imagine many wrestling fans revisiting the In Your House 12 event at all, let alone seeking out this one match. Funk and Cassidy may have impressed everyone with their display, but neither really went on to become major stars in the WWF/WWE, although Al Snow did catch on as a mid card attraction. A fair number of people have even likely forgotten than both men played these respective characters, or had a Pay-Per-View match against one another.
