12 Greatest Wrestling Dynasties Of All Time
5. Guerrero
Eddie might be the Guerrero family’s most famous name, but their dynasty stretches back over seven decades. Gory Guerrero was a major player in Mexico and the US throughout the ‘40s and ‘50s, capturing multiple titles on both sides of the border, and bringing four sons into the world, all of whom would eventually become wrestlers.
Mando was never a big star, but his elder brother Chavo was, with his best known moments coming through a major feud with Roddy Piper in the 1970s. His son, Chavo Jr., would later experience moderate success in both WCW and WWE, and is still active on the sport’s smaller stages. Hector Guerrero, meanwhile, is best known for playing the Gobbledy Gooker in WWE, but was a regular wrestler for the NWA prior to that disastrous gimmick.
It was the youngest of Gory's sons who’d achieve the greatest success and leave the strongest legacy, however. Whether competing in Mexico, Japan, or the USA, Eddie was one of the world’s most naturally gifted wrestlers, and became a huge star after transitioning to WWE in 2000. He had his personal problems, but Eddie was a universally beloved performers in 2004, and his emotional World Title win remains a standout Ruthless Aggression moment.
