12 Interesting Historical WWE Royal Rumble Facts

4. Nobody Has Ever Been The First Eliminated Two Years In A Row

The feat that nobody wants to accomplish is being the first one to be eliminated from the Royal Rumble. The latest entrant to ever first eliminated was #5 by Jimmy Del Ray, Bradshaw, and The Great Khali. There have been some Hall of Famers eliminated first such as Ted DiBiase, Koko B. Ware, Shawn Michaels, and Ric Flair. There are also many jobbers to be eliminated first like Dino Bravo, Bull Buchanan, and Justin Gabriel. While Santino Marella is the only wrestler to have multiple first eliminations (2008 & 2013), there has never been a wrestler to achieve the ultimate fail in the Royal Rumble by being the first eliminated in two consecutive Royal Rumble matches. The only wrestler to come fairly close was Jake The Snake Roberts who was eliminated third in 1989 and 1990. Last year the first eliminated was Damien Sandow. If he is first eliminated this year, the WWE Universe will riot.
