12 Interesting Historical WWE Royal Rumble Facts

3. Only One Person Has Been Last Eliminated Two Years In A Row

The only thing worst than being first eliminated is being the bridesmaid at the Royal Rumble. You make it all the way through 28 other competitors and have made it down to the final two for your shot at The WWE Championship at Wrestlemania and you're thrown over the top rope by the winner. Over the 27 Royal Rumbles that have been contested over the years, there has only been one wrestler that has been the last eliminated twice in a row. Triple H makes another appearance on this list as the only wrestlers to be thrown out last in the Royal Rumble. This occurred in 2008 and 2009; which were his second and third to last Rumble matches unless he decides to throw his "Authority" around this year. In 2008, Triple H was the last to be thrown over the top after the surprise return of John Cena months ahead of schedule from injury. For 2009, he was the last one thrown over the top rope thanks to Randy Orton. If Roman Reigns is the bridesmaid in 2015, he will join Triple H.
