12 MMA Fighters Who Could Save WWE

5. Cain Velasquez

There are few people in UFC €“ hell, there are few people in the whole of mixed martial arts €“ with the fearsome rep of Cain Ramirez Velasquez. The current UFC heavyweight champion has a 13-1 record in MMA, and is on his second reign: the first saw him defeat one Brock Edward Lesnar for the title back in October 2010 by first round knockout. Only 32 years old, the measured, composed Velasquez rarely indulges in trash talk, preferring to let his phenomenal striking prowess speak for him in the Octagon. And those actions speak far louder than words ever could: 11 of his 13 victories came via knockout. In his rematch with Junior dos Santos to regain the heavyweight title, he became the first fighter in the history of the UFC to land significant strikes in triple digits. Let this sink in for a second: he was recorded as hitting dos Santos properly one hundred and eleven times in the space of one fight. Forget the Dead Man €“ if Velasquez ever went the WWE route, he€™d be the best pure striker in the business. And while his mic skills could probably do with a little work, and he€™s a little injury prone €“ there€™s almost no one else around who has the flatheaded killer look and the intimidating reputation to rival Brock Lesnar. Let€™s not forget that Lesnar could easily be considered to have unfinished business with Velasquez, were they to work out an angle based around Lesnar€™s UFC heavyweight title defeat€
