12 Most Notoriously Selfish Stars In WWE History

9. The Fabulous Moolah

While most fans remember the late Lillian Ellison as the geriatric comedy act that made sporadic appearances during The Attitude Era alongside Mae Young, she had a lengthy career as a wrestler, trainer, booker and, according to some, an extortionist. As a women's champion, she's often credited with a remarkable "26-year title reign", although that's merely clever wording that encompasses the length of time she was involved in the title scene, not a consecutive championship run. Moolah was also responsible for training a large number of the women wrestlers in the 1970 and 80s, and according to many of them she demanded an exorbitant booking fee (anywhere from 25-30%), as well as forcing them to live in duplex apartments that she owned. One of her former trainees, Debbie Johnson claims that in addition to her booking fees Moolah also deducted travel expenses, food, rent, and utilities, causing her to work a full two years before she actually made any money. The Fabulous One also allegedly refused to book women if they fell on her bad side and essentially kept her trainees on lockdown under strict monitoring. There's a litany of other unsavory accusations tossed around about Moolah, including her using her influence to control the WWE's women's division such as replacing Mad Maxine on Hulk Hogan's Rock 'N' Wrestling, as well as being labelled a "pimp" and taking advantage of her female charges in various unspeakable ways in exchange for career advancement. While these are all merely allegations, it's obvious that The Fabulous Moolah was always looking out for herself before anyone else.
