11. The Shield Resolves To Stop Teasing A Reunion

The first time it happened we all went crazy. The second time around, the reaction was deafening. After the third the response was starting to wane and now the pairing of 2/3 of the group is outright drawing heel heat.

When The Shield disbanded wrestling fans were heartbroken. The group felt like they were just hitting their stride and were coming off the feud of the year against a reunited Evolution, so when Seth Rollins betrayed them with the chairshot heard ‘round the Universe it was gut-wrenching.

Do we want The Shield back together? Of course we do. But if WWE continues to go out of their way giving us these teases of mini-reunions anytime Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose are near each other, they’re creating diminishing returns. So much so that when it does happen the response will be a fraction of what it could have been since they’ve dangled it in our faces several times in the last few months.
