12 New Year's Resolutions For WWE Superstars

7. Goldberg Resolves To Stick Around For A While

I don’t think anyone – not a single McMahon or WWE fan – expected Bill Goldberg to return as triumphantly as he has while making such a momentous impact. The former WCW phenom has taken WWE by storm and what was expected to be a nostalgia pop has carried far beyond that, with him being the beneficiary of the strongest booking since the man he defeated at Survivor Series, Brock Lesnar himself.

The 49-year old star has been outspoken about his distaste for many within the business and has never come across as a lifer. In fact the entire motivation for this latest run has been so that his kid could see him wrestle live.

While the temptation may be there to walk away after his storyline with Lesnar concludes, presumably at Mania, I’d like to see Goldberg stick around WWE in much the same manner that legends like The Rock, Steve Austin, Mick Foley and Shawn Michaels do; making sporadic appearances and wrestling matches here and there when needed.

Speaking of Shawn Michaels…
