6. Shawn Michaels Resolves To Come Out Of Retirement
“The Heartbreak Kid” going out on his own terms and thus far being one of the only wrestlers able to resist the allure of the spotlight for “one big match” is admirable.
He’s the greatest in-ring performer the business has ever seen and he doesn’t want to tarnish his reputation by putting forth anything less than his best effort, especially considering he ended his career with one of the greatest matches of all-time.
All that is well and good but as a fan, I’m selfishly advocating for Michaels to compromise his values and come out of retirement for another go around with the man who many feel is the successor to his throne: AJ Styles.
The idea of the two locking horns has been bandied about but no one seriously expects to see it take place. That being said, the prospect of HBK vs. The Phenomenal One is a salivating thought and could possibly be the pinnacle of what two men can accomplish between the ropes.
