7. Breakdown: In Your House (1998)

Well, in fairness to DX, they at least got an additional PPV slightly named after one of their catchphrases.

By September of 1998, the WWF was in full Attitude Era mode. The main event of this show featured Steve Austin defending the WWF Championship against Kane and the Undertaker in a triple threat where Kane and ‘Taker couldn’t pin each other, essentially making it a handicap match against Austin. It’s an overbooked mess which sees Kane and ‘Taker pin Austin simultaneously, which means the title would be vacated and wouldn’t end up being won by anyone until Survivor Series two months later.

Other trivia from this show includes the singles PPV debut of Edge in a loss to Owen Hart, and the final PPV match of Vader’s WWF run, in which he lost to Justin Bradshaw. Like Ground Zero, the only reason I can guess Breakdown hasn’t been used again is because it’s a terribly generic name.
