10. William Regal Wins IC Title - Manchester, England (2008)

No, this isn’t the same show as the first two items.

William Regal might have been a villain for much of his WWE career, but when you put the pompous superstar in front of his countrymen, he instantly became a huge fan favorite. And in 2008, WWE paid that off during an episode of Raw in Manchester.

Unfortunately, the victim was Santino Marella, who was in the midst of a hilarious gimmick as Intercontinental Champion, displaying the “Honk-a-meter” to show how far along his IC title rein was compared to the longest reigning IC champ, the Honky Tonk Man.

On this night, however, Regal was not having anything of Santino’s jokes and squashed the Italian in less than a minute, winning his second Intercontinental Championship in front of the Manchester faithful.
