12 Things We Learned From Dark Side Of The Ring: TNA (Parts 1 & 2)

1. The Context On Hogan & Bischoff’s Arrival

The third episode will untangle Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff's time in TNA. Again, the producers did a wonderful job of setting the scene for that during the final segments of the second 'Dark Side' here. Dixie had just sent Jeff packing from TNA, but she called him a few months later to say she needed him to go meet with Hulk. That caught Jarrett completely by surprise, but he said yes.

Bischoff was there too, which surprised both Jeff and Dixie, but Hulk wanted Bisch around because he trusted him. Jarrett told the cameras it became obvious immediately that Hogan didn’t know a thing about the company. He also knew his time was up in TNA as soon as Hulk and Eric signed on.

Karen knew what Jeff didn't want to admit: Carter had used him to make herself look more knowledgeable, because she wouldn't have known what to say to Hogan or Bischoff solo. Then, once the meeting was adjourned, it was off back home for Jarrett; an unwanted puppy amongst TNA's new hierarchy.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that Hogan and Bischoff will be rinsed on next week's show. They'll be blamed for TNA's slide, and Dixie will be in the firing line herself. A wee bit more balance would be appreciated, but this is all gripping viewing as usual.

Roll on next week!
