12 Things You Learn Binge Watching Every WWE Raw From 2007

6. Hulk Hogan’s Forgotten Return

The 10 December episode was a 15th anniversary celebration for Raw, and nothing says party like cake and balloons. Or, y'know, Hulk Hogan rolling out looking like his nWo Hollywood self from WCW in the 1990s to save Hornswoggle from The Great Khali. That's on offer in the party aisle at your local supermarket.

Look for it.

Seriously though, this was a random segment if there ever was one. Jim Ross wondered aloud on comms whether or not Hulk could slam Khali like he had Andre The Giant back at WrestleMania III. Sorry, JR, but we'd never find out. It defo seemed like WWE were setting something up with all of this, but they actually weren't, They just wanted an easy way to get Hogan on the show.

After fighting off Khali (with the largest arms in the world, brother!), Hulk grabbed a mic to put over WWE’s roster. Then, because 2007 WWE was frankly insane, he dropped a random Randy Savage impersonation and hyped American Gladiators before posing with Swoggle.

There was so much to take in here. Firstly, Khali took Hulk's punches like this was his first day of training. Second, it was another Hornswoggle segment. Third, why was Hogan dressed up nWo style without the logos? Fourth, his 'Macho Man' impression was one of the most sudden shifts anyone could ever imagine mid-promo.

"Ooooh yeah"? More like, 'Oooooh nooooo, don't book Hogan vs. Khali on PPV in 2008'. They didn't. Small mercies.
