12 Things You May Have Missed From Last Night's WWE Raw (Jun 4)

1. Flashback To Brooklyn

Raw Ref Ladder
WWE

The coolest thing about Finn's ladder spot wasn't the referee's helping hand, but that it was a near direct repeat of one him and KO performed back at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn in August 2015.

WWE recreated everything down to the precise camera angle and subtle zoom as Bálor leaped off the ladder. If only Owens' body was the other way around, it would've been perfect, but alas.

It was an awesome call-back to a great NXT Title match, and a memorable feud that helped establish Finn as developmental's top dog, proving that WWE are capable of subtlety from time-to-time. The announcers get props for not beating us over the head with it, too.

Moments like this won't make or break an episode of Raw or SmackDown, but they do enhance the viewing experience, particularly for those who've been following wrestlers like Bálor and Owens for years. Kudos to WWE for rewarding that loyalty.
