12 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite: Bash At The Beach (Jan 15)

10. FINALLY

Cody Wardlow
AEW

Wardlow has been on AEW's books since his first vignette aired at All Out. That was the best part of five months ago and now, finally, we're getting his first singles match, with Cody confirmed as his opponent for 19 February.

It's overdue. While well-cast as MJF's suit-clad Rick Rude expy, we've been yearning to see what this big beefy boy can do for a while - particularly as the current AEW roster is as meaty as a vegan buffet. The prospect of seeing him tangle with AEW's best in-ring storyteller in a goddamn cage match is very exciting indeed, so here's hoping he gets a few dominant squashes to warm up for it.

Time to see what this beefer can do.
